Join the Frisco Natural Resources Division for a beginner's fishing workshop, no experience required! The workshop will focus on fish ID and habitat, basic equipment, knot tying, safety and fish handling, casting, regulations, and ethics.
The workshop is open to adults and children accompanied by an adult. Training equipment will be provided. This workshop will be held both indoors and outdoors and includes six different stations. Although we will not be actually fishing during the event, participants are encouraged to visit one of our nine stock ponds here in Frisco after receiving their Basic Angler Certification. Please keep in mind that anyone aged 17 and above must have a fishing license to fish on public lands.
Registration is required and space is limited. Please email NaturalResources@friscotexas.gov for questions or additional information.
