I really enjoyed reading this book, I could never put it down! Following "Q"'s little journey was intriguing and unpredictable. Many times in the book I was sure I would know whats going on or what's about to happen...then three chapters later I am in a completely different setting! I found myself laughing in many parts of the story, and excited in others. Wondering about who Margot really is and where she is has really carried the story throughout each chapter.

This quirky, creative, confusing story is one I will always come back to! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! :) -Torii, Grade 9

A mystery that is something to read when you have nothing else to read.

'Paper Towns' follows the story of Quentin Jacobsen, a standard teenage boy who has been in love with his childhood friend Margo Roth Spiegelman for his entire life. When she suddenly asks Q to accompany her on an adventure-filled revenge plot one night and disappears the next day, his life changes forever.
This is an enjoyable “coming of age” story combined with humor and mystery. While the pace of the book is a bit slow at first, it picks up quickly during the last 100 pages. It teaches a wonderful lesson about our interpretations of people in our lives, and I bet all teenagers will be able to relate to it!

This book turned out to be something different than I thought it would be, but I loved it. The best thing about this book was the humour, every single line of this book was funny. Most of John Green’s writing is funny, that's what I like about his books. In this book, there's lots of adventure, road trips and mystery. Quentin and his friends, Radar and Ben have funny and unique personalities that make the book better. I think this book described the term ‘living in the moment’ very well because though the characters in the book are seniors and are going to be graduating, they really take the time in the book to go on road trips, or spend time together and have fun. This book describes high school very well, which is perfect for anyone over the age of 13. I rate this book a 3/5.

Quentin and Margot are neighbors and students in their senior year of high school. They used to be good friends as kids but ended up drifting apart. One night, Margot invites Quentin to help her pull off a plan to get revenge on her enemies. The next day, Margot suddenly disappears. Quentin is determined to find out where Margot went and he sets out on an adventure with his best friends.

Not one of my favorites. This book failed to keep me interested and the climax was rather disappointing. There were a few funny and intriguing moments throughout the book, but overall it was uninspiring and average.

Young and shy Quentin (Nat Wolff) is in for the night of his life when Margo (Cara Delevingne), the most popular student in high school, recruits him to help her play mischievous pranks on the friends who betrayed her. The next day, however, the mysterious Margo is nowhere to be found. With help from a few buddies and some cryptic clues that she left behind, Quentin embarks on an obsessive mission to find the girl who stole his heart and made him feel truly alive. Like that famous saying, it is Q's journey rather than the destination that matters most. Whether or not he finds Margo and her paper towns, Quentin discovers love and finds that it can be just as elusive and multifaceted and imperfect as Margo. With author John Green at the controls, the ride is always memorable.

I like that this story has aspects of both adventure and mystery but in a modern setting (as opposed to a fantasy setting which is what I'm used to reading).

I'm always into books that's more on adventures, and this book's truly amazing for my satisfaction. Paper town may seem overrated thats because it truly is unique from other roadtrip books. Plus the enigmatic character of Margo is very interesting and the words are so poetic. Q was really smart and its fascinating how he describes margo as a beautifully mysterious person. He's lines are truly remarkable i can even memorize it, "Margo always loved mysteries. And in everything that came afterwards, i could never stoo thinking that maybe, she loved mysteries so much that she became one." Q. A novel similar to this one is Finding Audrey.

ArapahoeTina Jan 02, 2020

The best part of this novel for me was the road trip at the end. The slower pacing and fixation on a girl I didn't find particularly interesting made this difficult to get through for me.

The ending is really disappointing and honestly feels rushed.

a novel which I didn't expect to like, but ended up loving. The characters were really well descripted and I could imagine them as real people. I highly recommend watching the movie after you finish the book.

Quentin was a typical high school guy, more on the nerdy side of things. He had two close friends, and flew pretty low on the radar. Quentin grew up with Margo, and they were good friends. As they got older into high school, they drifted from each other. One night Margo climbed into his window, and this was a huge surprise for Quentin since they never really associated anymore. Margo took him on a thrilling night, and thats when everything changed. When he went back to school the next morning Margo was missing. He made some new friends (and some enemies too) and set out on a mission trying to find Margo.
I won't spoil too much, but this was a fairly good read (in my opinion. Not the best book i've ever read, but still interesting and has some amazing quotes.)

Paper Towns by John Green is humorous and addicting story, when Quentin finds out his long time friend Margo has disappeared after a long night of getting revenge of classmates with him. One night is all it takes for him to care enough to embark on an adventure to find her. While following her 'clues', your taken inside a harsh and cruel environment... High school. This novel most definitely relates to anyone over 15 years of age as the author does incorporate mature language, and topics.

This is an amazing book that will leave your tongue not bitter, sweet, or anything in between- but full of a desire to learn how to leave. You'll find pieces of yourself in well developed characters after a night of adventure as you crave so much more, and then a craving of adventure, will flip into a craving for her. Oh dear Margo, it will almost be a little search for yourself along the way.
