This is a wonderful picture book. This book looks at colours and emotions, and how different colours can make people feel. The book also looks at individuality and how the same colours can have different impacts on different people and that's OK. The artwork is bright and cheerful and the text is simple. This is a great picture book that looks at complex issues like feelings and emotions, but in a very accessible way for young children. This book is very thoughtful, but it is also a fun read. Highly recommended.

Some people think "blue is sad like a lonely song," but this girl thinks blue is "happy like my favorite jeans and a splash in the pool on a hot day..." This is a great book to read with kids to help them understand that it's OK for people to think and feel differently about things.

It's neat to see how different people feel about colours and then think about how I feel about them - Ms. Mak

A really interesting look at traditional color concepts. The girl narrator associates colors with different emotions than they are traditionally associated with. Color plays a huge part in the illustrations (obviously).
