Garvie Smith can be very frustrating, not only to his Mum who wants him to pass his 11th grade exams but to this reader as well! You would think this teen with a genius-level intelligence and photographic memory would be motivated to ace whatever he set his mind to, especially school. The only priority for this teenage Sherlock Holmes is solving the murder of a classmate much to the chagrin of Detective Inspector Singh whose career already suffered collateral damage when Garvie helped him solve a previous murder. Will Garvie be able to crack the case without disappointing his Mum and destroying DI Singh's career? Read "Kid Alone" to find out!
