I asked the staff of the Frisco Public Library to share their favorite books from childhood and why they loved them. Here is a list of our childhood favs!
" I didn't realize this book was already a classic when I was reading it in the 90s. Like a lot of kids, this book made me want to visit New York."

" I remember my kindergarten teacher reading this book to us and it was one of the first times I ever really laughed out loud at a book! I thought the characters and stories were so funny, and they still make me laugh to this day."

"I loved loved the Trixie Belden series when I was in grade school. These were books that my mom read as a girl and she had the entire collection so I read them too. I loved the characters, the countryside, and the mysteries. I've always lived in the suburbs so this small town country life was a fun escape. Trixie wasn't a perfect character, but I loved that she was flawed protagonist and you would have to see her navigate her friendships when she did mess up. The lovely thing about this series is that you can start with any book in the series and it's almost like a stand alone, so no matter where you start you won't be lost.
