Cohen does a great job of going beyond the obvious issues of suddenly becoming president and he explains the full scope of the situation. There is an instance where the VP had been intentionally undermining the president only to become the president himself. In many cases the VP never thought he’d really be involved in the government because the job had been considered unimportant. A few VP’s rose to the occasion, but many did not. Each story is fascinating.
