Comment:

I enjoyed the writing and I like the basic premise of never giving up in pursuit of your dreams no matter what life throws at you. It’s a simple story with a pretty simple message. I do think it fails as any real sense of self help if that’s what people are looking for. There’s no plan, just a message. And one I’m not entirely sure I fully agree with. I enjoyed it though. Listened to the audiobook and the narrator is really good.

This adult picture book is a short read with language and artwork that perfectly captures the everyman's journey through corporate life. For only being 32 pages, it packs a powerful message that stays with the reader.

Comment:

A hilarious spoof of the 1970s blaxploitation films. Black Dynamite takes all of the negative stereotypes featured in these 1970s films and exaggerates them to such a degree that you're left with these over-the-top hilarious characters and situations. Michael Jai White, writer and lead actor, is a comedic genius.

Engaging writing, but ultimately the substance of this strategy could have been condensed into a handout. It contains a lot of real world examples of how lists help high stress situations and a description of his process working with WHO to develop his theory.

Really this should be called the "Joy of Letting Go." There's something so satisfying in ridding your environment of stuff and clutter that you don't care about. Marie Kondo approaches tidying up with thoughtfulness and genuine care that will have you rethinking the items you choose to surround yourself with.

It's ridiculously funny. I kind of hope Kyoko remains crazy bitter until the very end. A great start to a series and I plan on reading the rest of the volumes.

A great start to a series, although I probably relate more than I should to Futaba! One of the things I love about Io Sakisaka's work is that her stories are so full of hope and new beginnings. There's something enchanting in that.
