This is one of my favorite funny teen books. I'm also a BIG Korman fan in general- he's great! This is the story of Capricorn (Cap) raised by his hippie grandmother before she breaks her hip and he has to go into temporary foster care and join the local public school. Honestly, it's Cap that makes the book. He's such a clueless, hapless, and innocent young dude trying to make his way when he has absolutely no cultural reference from which to draw after being raised on a commune. It's one hilarious misunderstanding after another. However this book also has a point- about being yourself, doing your own thing, and going with the flow. I loved the main character of this book! She’s very likable and that made me want to read more. There is action, creepiness, ghosts, and a true mystery at the heart of this story. The author also throws in some topics that many kids deal with divorce, close relationships to extended relatives, parents dropping the ball (including a dad of one character being in jail). Also there is a cast of characters who I believe will become more fleshed out as the series continues. Great for older elementary kids or younger middle schoolers.I loved the main character of this book! She’s very likable and that made me want to read more. I’d like to read more by Frances Hardinge- The Lie Tree has been on my TBR list for ages! I liked this one very much. It was fairly fast-paced and kept my interest. It was spooky, but not scary. If you liked the Diviners by Libba Bray, you'll probably like this one too.I’d like to read more by Frances Hardinge- The Lie Tree has been on my TBR list for ages! I liked this one very much. First book I've read by Alex Light. I think it's a good one for the beach. People who like romance with a little twist, should enjoy this one.

I was never a Nancy Drew fan as a kid, but I can get behind this updated and refreshed version. I liked the art and style of the book and the plot line had enough action to keep me turning pages. Definitely a read for teens as this book hinges on a drug ring and several murders. Based on the board game. Clever, fast-paced, and told from multiple points of view. Pretty good mystery that kept me guessing for most of the book. It’s the first of a planned trilogy. I’d like to read the others since this one ended rather abruptly.

Cute story about two teens both responsible for their respective family businesses Twitter accounts who cross path IRL and coincidentally in the Twitterverse. Shade is thrown. A Twitter war begins. A romance blossoms. An entry into the “you're so cute I find you annoying” category of romances. Considering that the MCs are seniors in HS, the language, sexual content, and partying are mild.Cute story about two teens both responsible for their respective family businesses Twitter accounts who cross path IRL and coincidentally in the Twitterverse. Another lovely story from Kate Milford. I enjoyed The Left Handed Fate so much a few weeks ago, that I decided to start this one. Imagine my delight when I realized the two stories have some things in common- setting and distant relations between some of the characters. I can't wait to read more! I would most likely hand this to middle-grade readers who like mystery, magic, and role-playing games.Another lovely story from Kate Milford. A space opera retelling of the King Arthur myth with lots of gender-bending/fluidity of the characters. I liked the twists the authors took with the story. I think it was well-written and compelling. This book is a work of art. Read it, savor it, let it take you to another world- all in the space of an elevator ride. Jason Reynolds is a special author. I would say the voice of a generation. Listen to him.
