When reading Dungeon Critters I was expecting a fun, Dungeons and Dragons inspired romp with cute animals. This Graphic novel checks so many boxes. As a story, it gracefully combines Sci-fi, fantasy, and a post-apocalypse without losing sight of the relationship between the characters. As a Graphic novel, the framing, paneling, and story structure are innovative and experimental without loosing the story.
